MLR Picks Week 16: 5 Games Slated

5 games of MLR what more could you want!

The biggest round, in terms of games played, arrives this weekend, with a total of five games being played over the next four days. Toronto Arrows will double up this weekend, opening the round with a match against Austin Elite followed by the Utah Warriors on Sunday. Both of these games will be played in Toronto and all the experts except one see these games going the same way, Toronto winning them. Following Thursday's game, play resumes on Saturday with a top of the ladder clash between the NOLA Gold and San Diego Legion, being played down the Bayou. Both teams will be desperate for a win. For NOLA, it will help separate them from the rest of an ever growing crowd chasing them. The Legion need the win, as they have played one extra game then NOLA and the additional points will help their push for a first placed finish at the end of the season. The top of the table clash will be followed by Rugby United New York welcoming the defending champions, Seattle Seawolves to Coney Island. Similarly, to the NOLA and San Diego game, both teams will be dying for a win. Seattle sits one point outside of the top four and a win would see them move ahead of RUNY on the standings and into playoff positioning. RUNY will want a win to keep pace with the Legion and Gold in the race for first overall. A lot is on the line this weekend and both teams know it. Glendale will look to sure up their position in the standings when they come up against the Houston SaberCats. A win would help Glendale's late season campaign to qualify for the playoffs, but a loss could prove disastrous, depending on other results in the competition. All five games will prove to be pivotal in each team's post season push and this week could be seen either what goads their playoff hopes or what stopped them in their tracks.
